Brian has been lost in the plane crash for forty seven days. He is really learning the traits of living in the wild.  Through out the days Brian has had to find and store food build a fire, survive the animals(as in not disturbing them, or getting eaten). At one point of the story he had found some turtle eggs and buried them, but later a skunk found them and Brian tried to scare the skunk away but he got spread. ( EWWW!!!)  Could you imagine being lost in the woods for forty days, without food, just a hatchet?

The point of view that this story is being told by is Brian’s.   The story would be completely different if someone else tolg thatd it because say, Brian’s mother told the story, it would probably be about how she felt before Brian left and how she feels with her son being lost in the forest.

The main character is Brian. the one thing that really stands out about Brian to me is that he was a total city boy, and that he is deeply hurt about his mother cheating on his father, and getting a divorcie. I really dont think me and Brian hvae alot in commen because I have lived in the country my hole life and I camp alot, and both of my perents are together.

Here is a little background info on Queen Victoria.

• Victoria’s father died when she was eight months old.
• was born in 24th May 18
• She was an only child
• Her parents names were  Edward, Duke of Kent and Victoria Maria Louisa
• She became queen when she was 18.

Her full named is  Alexandrina Victoria, better knowed as Queen Victoria

She lived in Buckingham house  close to St. James’ Palace

Well during this book so far Brian was living with his Mother, but had to go live with his father for the summer. But when he was in the airplane his pilot died of a massive heart attack. So Brian has to fly the plane, and tries to contact help. but after many fails, the plane runs out of gas, and crashes. He look for a lake to land on, and almost didn’t find one. On the way down he hits many trees, and the plane  was being shredded. He merely escaped the sinking plane. As soon as he got on to the surface, he passed out. The next day (or when he finally woke up) he kept thinking about the the dead pilot at the bottom of the lake, and what always happend to the heroes of television shows he had seen. during the time of him thinking about all this he was being eating alive by mosquitoes, and black bugs, after a while his is were swollen shut. He fell asleep as the sun came out  and he got a horrible sun burn. When he woke out he was extremely thirsty. Earlier before Brian had fallen asleep he seen a beaver in the water. His main though were he needed to drink, but he  didn’t know if the lake water was safe to drink. After a while  of consoling the though he went for it , he drank until his stomach wanted to burst.

  The round character of THIS book is Brian,  the author of the book  introducing as around character by talking about him allot. He gave ours Brian’s background, and the reason why he is going on the trip.

Another character is the pilot. he is a flat character because he was only in the book in the beginning , the athour didn’t give us any of his  background, and then he just all of a sudden died.

And Brian’s Mother is a flat character.  She is a flat character because she was only mentioned once in the very beginning, and the author doesn’t even give us her real name, or any of her back ground either.

 A important part of the story is when Brian’s mother gives Brian the hatchet.  When she gave him the hatchet the were driving in the car on their way to the airport. This part is an important part of the story because now that  he is stranded in the middle of a forest, this will be one of his only tools to survive. If I was Brian, and my mom gave me a hatchet, I think I would be happy (instead of embarrassed) because it is something new and fun, especially when you are going to live in the woods of Canada for the summer.

I think that Brian is going to have to learn to survive, kill a bunch of animals for food. and he is going to get attacked by somthing and eventually someone is going to fine him and bring him to his father.

 In 1806 the population increased alot in Upper Canada, and Lower Canada.

The population in 1806 in Upper Canada was estimated at 70,718, and the population in Lower Canada in 1806 was estimated at 250,000  As I looked at the information on that I relized the populations in all places in Canada grew as people started immigrating to the new found land and that not even half of Canada. And i never relized that the population grew in Princre Edward Island from the years 1806 to 1861.
